The True Definition of Discipline

Am I the only person who feels like February is the real beginning of the New Year? January felt like a mad dash. Now is the first time I’ve had this year to step back and breathe. I now know what my priorities are for 2015 in a way I didn’t a month ago.

I came across this great quote this week:

“Discipline is remembering what you want.” –David Campbell

Such a simple way of approaching your goals, isn’t it? For me, it’s the new “keep your eyes on the prize.” If you want a certain level of health, or wealth, or success in your career, or a loving relationship – whatever – it’s going to take work. It’s going to take effort. And the only thing that will keep you going is to remember what you want. Why you’re doing it.

And I have to add: how you want to feel while you’re doing it!

If you can synthesize feeling the way you desire to feel AND moving towards what you want, you are WINNING. And we all deserve to win!

Happy Friday!
